So the next thing I will try is to backdate my installation to the older version I previously used when playing by uninstalling and reinstalling using the older version installer I have backed up. It does seem that GOG updated the KOTOR installation after I uploaded the patch. So I have no way of testing the patch at the moment. They worked fine last year, but for some reason when I try to launch them they just sit there in the processes list and don't do anything. Neither KOTOR 1 nor 2 will launch at all.
